FlySafair and Solidarity Continue Talks

FlySafairFlight Operations, Flight Schedules

Johannesburg – 25 July 2025 – FlySafair and trade union Solidarity met again this afternoon/evening under the guidance of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) to continue discussions regarding the ongoing labour dispute.

While the parties report positive progress, they were unable to conclude all outstanding matters within the available time and have agreed to continue with proposals in the morning (Saturday 26 July 2025).

In the meantime, FlySafair continues to operate a stable but reduced flight schedule. The airline reports that close to two-thirds of its pilots have returned to duty, and the current schedule has been right-sized to ensure it remains sustainable with the available crew.

“The parties continue to engage in good faith as they work through the complex details of the matters at hand. We remain hopeful for a resolution soon,” said Kirby Gordon, Chief Marketing Officer at FlySafair.
